Harding Township is in the 11th Congressional District, which is represented by Mikie Sherrill (D).
At the state level, Harding is in NJ’s 27th Legislative District. It is represented in the State Senate by Richard Codey (D) and in the General Assembly by Mila Jasey (D) and John McKeon (D).
At the county level, there is a seven-member Board of Chosen Freeholders, elected to three-year terms on a staggered basis. More information on the current Freeholders is available here.
Harding Township itself is governed by a five-member Township Committee. Committee members serve three-year terms. One or two seats comes up for election each year, as part of the November general election. The Township Committee selects one of its members as Mayor and another as Deputy Mayor. Currently, the members are Mayor Chris Yates, Deputy Mayor Tim Jones, Dev Modi, Nanette DiTosto, and Nic Platt. All are Republicans.
